Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, tech-savvy person looking to get their foot in the door with a great company and launch their career! Our client, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards (PCB), has several openings for Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Engineers! As a CAM Engineer, you will take design files provided by customers, feed them into specialized software, tweak the settings to make sure the machines can actually build it without breaking, and hit 'print.' It is highly technical, detail-oriented, and perfect for someone with a programming mindset who wants a steady, hands-on tech role. If you don't have experience with CAM or CAD, no worries -- our client will take the time to get you fully trained! Here are some additional "great to have" requirements for the role:
- Able to learn or prior knowledge of complex software (such as Python or Java)
- Able to read technical drawings/schematics
- Electronics knowledge (Knowing what a resistor, capacitor, and trace are)
- Attention to Detail (The absolute #1 requirement for this role)
- Able to visualize 3D objects from 2D data
- Basic math (Comfortable with decimals, fractions, and mils/mm conversion)
- Eagerness to learn specialized software
- Data Entry Accuracy
salary: $22 - $25 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Supports basic tooling tasks, including CAM Quality Control, standard rout programming, and coordinating outsourced tooling
- Formats standard PCB designs.
- Analyzes customer data against DFM criteria and fixes code violations.
- Panelizes data and outputs to photo plotters, NC systems, and AOI CAM.
- Programs drilling, routing, beveling, and milling equipment.
- Communicates directly with customers and external services
