This is advanced technical and highly responsible traffic engineering and related work performed in the field and office for the Transportation and Parking Management department. Work involves analysis of traffic crashes and other traffic-related data to determine conformance with existing minimum requirements, report data, and develop recommendations. Work involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting various types of traffic flow and control data; developing recommendations or plans for the placement of traffic control devices, including signs and pavement markings. Work includes preparing work orders to support installation, rehabilitation, and maintenance of various traffic control devices; creating drawings, including concept drawings of traffic calming features, roadways alignments, crosswalks, and sidewalks; receiving, investigating, and responding to complaints received regarding traffic issues, residential parking, and speeding. Work will also include onsite inspections and reviewing and making recommendations to a professional supervisor regarding the course of action to be taken on requests for building permits, outdoor signs, and street and alley vacations.
Salary: $26.19 - $40.11 Hourly
