Key Responsibilities:

• Create and prepare high-quality sushi dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
• Ensure the freshness and quality of fish and ingredients.
• Develop and implement new sushi recipes and menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements.
• Manage sushi bar operations, including inventory and supply ordering.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Engage with guests to provide an exceptional dining experience.
• Stay updated on current trends and techniques in sushi preparation

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef with a minimum of 2 years in a high-volume sushi restaurant.
• Proficient in various sushi preparation techniques and knife skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and culinary culture.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Culinary degree or certification in Japanese cuisine is a plus.
• Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain). **Required**
• Must be available on weekends.
