Salesforce Administrator
Employment Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Work Location: Remote (Candidates must reside within a 2-hour radius of the Harrisburg, PA region only allowed )
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Administrator to lead the administration, configuration, support, and continuous enhancement of the Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions using declarative tools and industry best practices.
This role will be responsible for maintaining a secure, compliant, and high-performing Salesforce environment while driving user adoption, providing training and support, and contributing to Salesforce governance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Salesforce platform, including user accounts, profiles, permission sets, role hierarchies, sharing rules, and security controls.
- Design, configure, and support Salesforce solutions using declarative tools such as Flows, validation rules, approval processes, record types, page layouts, and custom objects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and develop effective Salesforce solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve business workflows and enhance Salesforce adoption across teams.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational and leadership decision-making.
- Manage data quality initiatives including data imports, exports, cleansing, deduplication, and migration activities.
- Support release management, testing, and deployment activities across Salesforce environments.
- Troubleshoot complex platform, configuration, security, and integration issues.
- Support integrations between Salesforce and internal or external systems using APIs and approved integration tools.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration standards, operating procedures, and knowledge base materials.
- Deliver end-user training and provide ongoing support to business and technical users.
- Mentor junior administrators and contribute to the development of internal Salesforce expertise.
- Assist with establishing Salesforce governance, change management, security, and support processes.
- Ensure Salesforce solutions follow established security, accessibility, records management, and data governance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience administering, configuring, supporting, or developing enterprise applications.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience within a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong experience with Salesforce declarative capabilities including Flows, security models, reports, dashboards, validation rules, approval processes, and custom objects.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders, conducting requirements sessions, and providing user support.
- Experience managing Salesforce security, including user provisioning, permission sets, profiles, and role hierarchies.
- Experience with data migration, data quality management, and system integration activities.
- Experience supporting software testing, release management, and deployment processes.
- Experience creating training materials and delivering end-user support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
- Salesforce Business Analyst certification.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Industries (Vlocity), OmniStudio, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, and FlexCards.
- Experience supporting Salesforce implementations, migrations, or large-scale platform modernization initiatives.
- Experience with Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, or Government Cloud.
- Familiarity with Copado, Git, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and source control.
- Experience developing Salesforce Flows and low-code automation solutions.
- Working knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), APIs, and integration patterns.
- Experience establishing Salesforce governance frameworks, support models, and administrative standards.
- Experience training, mentoring, or leading Salesforce administrators and support staff.
- Experience supporting enterprise environments within government, public sector, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
