Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Coach to join our team at Ameriprise! Provide guidance, coaching, and indirect leadership to peers on operations processes, policies, and techniques for transaction requests and inquiries from advisors, clients, and other partners. Research and respond to advanced issues and resolve problems, as needed. Assist in quality management processes and serve as an authority for various business-driven initiatives. Ensure processing of transactions follows industry rules/regulations and internal compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, independently resolving complex processing, reconciliation, and balancing issues for assigned products in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Research and resolve escalated issues, providing clear status updates and resolution communications to operations teams and partners.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal controls.
  • Explain policies, resolutions, and required actions to advisors, clients, and relationship partners.
  • Mentor and train peers, providing guidance on processes, systems, and issue resolution.
  • Perform day‑to‑day operational processing, including auditing, transaction processing, and approval of reissued or rewritten transactions.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives, frequently serving as the operational expert.
  • Utilize multiple systems and applications to research, process, and report operational activity.
  • Conduct incoming and outgoing research, quality audits, and related reporting.





Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
    • Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a service call center or transaction processing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under tight deadlines, while achieving a high degree of accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and resolve issues, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships and influence others without direct leadership accountability.





Preferred Qualifications

  • Product-specific or financial services industry experience.
  • Experience with Ameriprise customer policies and procedures.
  • SIE/Series 7.

In-Office Collaboration

Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated hourly rate for this role is $24.42 - $33.61 / hour. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
