About the Role

We are a well-established, highly profitable regional CPA firm specializing in international tax services . Due to continued growth, we are seeking an International Tax Manager with 5+ years of public accounting experience.

This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging and complex engagements in a collaborative, professional environment. You will partner closely with firm leadership and clients, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional service.

Note: This position requires fluency in Japanese and prior international tax experience .

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare international tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcies, and trusts/estates.
  • Handle both basic and complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Conduct tax research and provide technical guidance.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Identify tax planning and consulting opportunities to add value to clients.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Proven international tax experience .
  • Fluency in Japanese (required).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-directed, entrepreneurial work ethic with ability to manage complex engagements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. permanently (no sponsorship available).
