968 Ludlow LLC provides reliable installation, maintenance, repair, and field service solutions for residential and commercial customers. We are seeking dependable, skilled Independent Field Service Technicians to join our growing network of professionals.

As a 1099 Independent Contractor, you'll have the flexibility to choose the assignments you want while delivering exceptional service to customers.

Position Summary

We're looking for experienced technicians who take pride in quality workmanship, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. You'll perform on-site service calls, diagnose issues, complete repairs or installations, document your work, and communicate with customers and our dispatch team.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned service calls safely and professionally
• Diagnose equipment and system issues
• Perform repairs, maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding work performed
• Document completed work using a mobile device or work order system
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
• Follow all safety procedures and industry best practices
• Manage your schedule and complete jobs within agreed-upon timeframes
• Maintain your own tools, equipment, and transportation

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a field service technician, maintenance technician, installer, repair technician, or similar role
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Smartphone with internet access
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor environments
• Ability to pass background screening if required by customer projects

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is a plus:

• Electrical
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Appliance Repair
• General Maintenance
• Handyman Services
• Equipment Installation
• Commercial Maintenance
• Low Voltage Systems
• Construction or Remodeling

Independent Contractor Requirements

As a 1099 Independent Contractor, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining your own business licenses (where applicable)
• Providing your own vehicle, tools, and equipment
• Carrying any required insurance
• Managing your own taxes and business expenses
• Accepting or declining assignments based on your availability
