Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience grooming dogs of all breeds and sizes, maintains a calm demeanor with animals and provides excellent customer service to pet owners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bathe, brush, dry, and style dogs according to breed standards or owner preferences.
• Perform haircuts, trimming, shaving and de-shedding treatments.
• Clean ears, trim nails and brush teeth safely and gently.
• Assess coat and skin condition and report any concerns to pet owners or management.
• Safely handle dogs using proper restraint techniques.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized and organized grooming area.
• Provide friendly, professional communication with clients about their dogs and grooming preferences.
• Follow all safety, hygiene and animal welfare guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a dog groomer or grooming certification preferred.
• Knowledge of dog breeds, coat types and grooming techniques.
• Ability to handle dogs safely and calmly, including anxious or aggressive pets.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift dogs as required.
